Well, how do you think you did?

Unlike many tests, this one is hardly trivia.  Many of the questions are in areas that literally determine life and death.  Are you ready for the answers?

All of the above 25 statements are true.

Are you surprised?

One way to evaluate how well you did on this test is as follows:
 23-25 correct – Excellent
 20-22 correct – Good
 15-19 correct – Average
 14-less – Poor

But in fact, that way of looking at the results could be misleading.  At least nine of the questions have a direct bearing on where you will spend eternity.  If you got 24 right but missed just one of the essential ones…

You may strongly disagree with one or more of the 25 statements.  However, you would not be disagreeing with me.  I have merely reported what is found in a particular portion of the Bible.

On second thought, yes you would be disagreeing with me!  For although I did not originate these statements, I have decided to submit my will, my opinions, my preferences, and my theology, to the will of God, as revealed in His Word.

I hope with all my heart that you have, too.

The motivation for this exercise is this:  when you stand before the judgment throne of God, He will not decide your destiny based upon how well you obeyed what churches, ministers, writers, or friends told you about Him.

You will stand or fall based upon what you did with what He Himself told you to do.  The only infallible source for that kind of information is found in the Bible itself.

If any of these 25 statements puzzles you, it will be worth your while to dig out the truth for yourself about them, in your own Bible.

Perhaps you would agree with me it is high time we stopped judging the Word of God by the words of human beings.  Rather, it is time we all began to soberly judge even our favorite, most cherished words from other people…by the Word of God.

Here are 25 starting points for each of the 25 statements above.  Good digging!

    Dear Pastor Steve;

    Is number four a typo? Maybe you meant Jn. 14:12 instead of 14:2?
